I enjoy playing challenging video games, but only until it becomes repetitive and dull. In many games, the "hard mode" setting simply involves boosting enemies' health without offering any significant increase in difficulty. As a result, players are forced to engage in tedious battles with enemies that are able to absorb a tremendous amount of damage. This undermines the fun and excitement of playing the game, which should ideally provide players with a challenging and rewarding experience.
